Together

“Together” channels the warm glow of childhood’s most comforting, quietly joyful moments. I wrote it thinking about those moments of music making with friends and family when I truly listened and was able to appreciate both the unbelievable beauty of sound and the happiness of playing with others.

“Together” was written as an instrumental movement of the song cycle, “A Year to the Day,” (libretto by Mark Campbell) and was premiered by violinist Augustin Hadelich and cellist Karen Ouzounian on October 7, 2022 on The Violin Channel, who commissioned the full work.
