These new short works were inspired by the ca. 1911 folk song transcriptions of August Kiiss, Lembit’s Estonian great-grandfather. The concert at Curtis additional includes Lembit’s Three Songs of Remembered Love. The concerts feature Mary Bonhag, soprano, Evan Premo, double bass, Lembit Beecher, piano and the Aizuri Quartet.
